Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh Tuesday come under attack for his alleged 'violating the norms of Parliament' and making statement into public regarding to privatize state-run carrier Air India when Parliament is in operation.
Several leaders of opposition including leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj criticized Singh's act and asked to serve him a privilege notice for making policy statement outside when parliament is in session.
Swaraj was supported from other parties too including the Janata Dal-United (JD-U), and Left parties.
The opposition was also angry over the 7th day long Air India's pilots' strike which is still in logjam.
"What is government doing for sacked 71 pilots and for restoring the operation of airline smoothly?" asked Sushma Swaraj.
The opposition wanted to bring Ajit Singh in the house and reply the questions.
The uproar in the house reached at too high, which led the Speaker to, adjourned the house till lunch.
After the lunch a privilege notice was served to Singh.
