Qadian (Punjab), Dec. 30 (ANI): The three-day annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community began at Qadian, the birthplace of the sect founder, Mirza Gulam Ahmad in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.
Delegates from all over the globe are attending the convention, with more than 5000 delegates from Pakistan alone.
The day began with hoisting of the community flag followed by recitation of the verses from Holy Quran.
The first session of the congregation was presided over by Mohammed Imam Ghori, Chief Secretary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in India.
This is the 121st edition of the convention, hosted in the small town. (ANI)
