London, December 29 (ANI): Soccer superstar Ronaldo has split from the wife who gave him a second chance when he was caught in a motel with three transvestites.
The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker announced that he and Bia Anthony have decided to end their seven years of marriage.
The couple, who have two children, split briefly in 2008 when the Brazilian World Cup winner was in an altercation with three cross-dressing prostitutes in Rio.
The three-times World Player of the Year apologised on TV and insisted he thought the transvestites were women.
He and his wife said of the split: "Our love remains unchanged." (ANI)
