New Delhi, Dec 27 (ANI): Minister of State for Home R.P.N. Singh will inaugurate the National Data Dissemination workshop organised by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India at the Hotel Ashoka here on Friday.
The findings and results of the first phase of Census 2011 on 'Houselisting and Housing Census' would be discussed at length in the workshop. The present housing scenario, availability of amenities and assets to the household will be focussed during the workshop.
The 'Houselisting and Housing Census', which is a prerequisite to the population census has thrown variety of data on various indicators concerning condition of housing in India, material used, the manner in which these houses are put to use, availability of various amenities like drinking water, electricity, latrine, bathrooms etc. as also availability of various assets in possession of households in rural and urban areas.
