Lucknow, Dec 26 (IANS) A mother and daughter hailing from Tamil Nadu were found dead Wednesday in a 'dharamshala' in Uttar Pradesh's temple city of Varanasi, police said. A suicide note has been recovered.
The bodies were discovered when a waiter went to their room to serve the morning tea.
While the mother was lying on the bed, the daughter was hanging from the ceiling fan. A suicide note in Tamil was recovered, police said.
They belonged to Perambur in Chennai and had been staying in Varanasi since Dec 10.
Senior Superintendent of Police B.D. Polson told IANS that they also found Rs.1.25 lakh in cash, some medicines and voter ID cards of both the women.
