Two Maoists surrender in West Bengal

Kolkata, Dec 25 (IANS) Two Maoists Tuesday surrendered to police in West Bengal, police said.

Bijoy Singh Sardar and Moumita Paharia handed over two rifles in Purulia, Superintendent of Police C. Sudhakar said.

Sardar is from Jharkhand while Paharia belongs to Purulia. Surrendering Maoists in West Bengal are entitled to get between Rs.25,000 and Rs.2 lakh depending on the weapon they lay down.
