Kolkata, Dec 19 (IANS) Defending champions Railways "A" shook off their initial lethargy and forced a huge lead of 75 victory points against city-based Ajay Bagaria's team after session three of their quarter final match for the Ruia Gold Cup at the 54th Winter National Bridge championship here Wednesday.
Railways, represented by Manas Mukherjee, Sumit Mukherjee, Debabrata Mazumdar, Sumit Mazumdar, Sandip Dutta and Rana Roy, took command from the start and forced a41-8 lead at the end of the first session.
In the second and third sessions also they combined well to dominate the proceedings scoring 41 and 36against17 and 11 by their off colour rivals who earlier topped the Swiss league to enter into the pre-quarter finals.
Unless there is a major upheaval at the concluding session, Railways "A" are through to the last four.
Formidables of Delhi are also in the leads against Maya Meera Sneha form the same state 113-59.
Poddar Developers from Mumbai are ahead of Nagpur side Mohta 74-50 and Indian Blues Bombay are leading 95-49 over Hemant Jalan' IV from Kolkata.
