Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been honoured with the BrandLaureate Legendary Award for his outstanding contribution to the Hindi film industry, and for being India's leading brand ambassador in Malaysia.
Earlier The BrandLaureate Legendary Award has been awarded to people like former South African president Nelson Mandela, Nobel Laureate Mohammad Yunus, Indian businessman Ratan Tata, late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Facebook CEO Marck Zuckerburg and F1 ace Michael Schumacher.
The 47-year-old actor was in Malaysia to attend the birthday party of Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad on the Thursday evening.
'It is an honour to be given the BrandLaureate Legendary Award. It is always a pleasure to be amongst friends and to be given so much love and motivation to do better,' Shah Rukh said in a statement.
SRK was honoured by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation, and received the award from Robert Loh, founder of Lord's Tailor, KK Johan, president, The BrandLaureate, and Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohammad.
