Patna, Dec. 9 (ANI): Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Janata Dal-United (JD-U) Upendra Kushwaha on Sunday resigned from the party and announced to form a new political outfit in Bihar.
Kushwaha criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying that later has failed to solve the people's problem and as corruption and inflation are at all time high in the state.
"Our friends have decided to form a new political party. That's why I thought to resign from the Janata Dal- United and Rajya Sabha. People of the state are in huge trouble, Nitish government has failed to solve their problems, corruption and inflation are the burning issues, farmers are facing many problems and youths are not getting employment," said Kushwaha.
"I new the result of going against the party whip. I don't care whatever action they take against me. Today I announce to from a new party, its constitution and name will be announced at a rally on March 3," he added.
Kushwaha has been in the news for his anti-Nitish Kumar activities. Recently violated the party whip and vote in favour of FDI in Rajya Sabha.
Kushwaha, a leader from Koeri community, has worked with Nitish Kumar in forging an anti-Lalu social alliance. Later, he fell out with Nitish on the issue of power sharing. (ANI)
