Islamabad, Dec 7(ANI): Bilal Shafayat, who has his roots from Pakistan and is a former captain of the England under-19 side, has claimed he hasn't ever witnessed any kind of racism in county cricket.
Shafayat, who started his career at Nottinghamshire but moved to Northamptonshire in 2005, said the English cricket fans have been very supportive of him.
"Look, I think that I've been fortunate. I've never really experienced it either on or off the field," Shafayat replied when asked if he has ever witnessed any kind of racist behaviour in England during an exclusive interview with PakPassion.net.
"I can't really relate to it. If people have, I really couldn't relate to it. Generally, in the game of cricket, the supporters and fans have been very welcoming," he added.
"They've really given me the support throughout my career and even now that I'm facing difficult times, you always see a few people who remind me that I'm only 28 and to keep going," he said.
Shafayat added: "That's come from all kinds of people. It's been nothing but love." (ANI)
