New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) Reliance Infrastructure's Mumbai Power Distribution has won the 2012 "India Power Award" for energy efficiency conservation (EEC) and demand side management (DSM).
The company in a release said it had implemented EEC and DSM among consumers through various platforms like newsletter, energy bill and energy manager.
"To meet the growing demand of energy, we have adopted effective measures in improving our processes, standardise policies, invested in breakthrough technologies and developed products and services that minimise negative consequences in the environment and promote energy conservation," a company spokesperson said.
RInfra also encouraged consumers to buy Star rated energy efficient gadgets at discounted rates thereby sensitizing and educating them on energy conservation.
The Council of Power Utilities has been conferring the award every year since 2008, to create synergy among power utilities.
