New Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) Pakistani women's apparel are drawing huge crowds at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) here even before its opening for the public Monday.

For Indian women who are fond of Pakistani clothes, especially salwar suits, there are a wide variety to choose from as a number of brands are showcasing their products in Pragati Maidan's hall number 22.

The first five days of the fair, which began Nov 14, were reserved for business and trade visitors. It will be opened for the public Monday.

'The Pak Pavilion is marked by the presence of 176 exhibitors at the fair. The stalls seemed to be overflowing with women looking for a good bargain,' Director General of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mir Nassir Abbas told IANS.

According to Fawad Akram Chohan, head of Leisure Club, Pakistan's largest fashion retailer, brands like Shahane, Kaysria, Working Woman and Rangja are being sold at the Pakistan pavilion.

'All products have eco-friendly dyes and pure fabrics,' Chohan told IANS.

Leisure Club is one of the top Pakistani retailers of collection for men, women and kids.

'We hope more people will come to our stalls in the days to come,' Chohan added.

While 'Working Woman', as its name suggests, is attracting the maximum number of women from the working class, 'Kaysria' offers loose fabric, mixed with cotton and chiffon.

Most Indian women usually buy 'lawn' - a textile originally of linen but chiefly of cotton fabric, but there are other Pakistani specialties like resham kinari or lace and dupatta.

Another variety of fabric 'malai linen' is also getting lot of buyers.

Suits with phulkari - a kind of embroidery design - are also turning out to be very popular.

Pakistani spices and onyx items are also attracting buyer-interest.
