London, Nov 17(ANI): McLaren ace has said he might move to the United States on a permanent basis ahead of the US Grand Prix on Sunday.
But having left Britain for a tax haven in Switzerland and then skipped to Monte Carlo last year he said this was no David Beckham-style switch for the sake of his career.
"One day I might move out here. I've not decided where I want to raise my kids yet but I'm always thinking about where I'm going to be in the future," the Daily Mirror quoted Hamilton, as saying.
"It's not that I am getting that serious about it but it is important that I look after my future. Beckham moved here for his career, I'd just be moving for the weather and the lifestyle. It's so nice. The cars are all big, the roads are big. It's just a nice, relaxed lifestyle," he added.
Although girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger calls Los Angeles home he hasn't ruled out other cities in the world's biggest democracy.
Hamilton said: "I've not said it will be LA. It could be the East Coast or the West Coast to be honest. I like all of the States." (ANI)
