London, Nov 15(ANI): Italian football legend Alessandro Del Piero has said it's an honour to meet and exchange shirts with Sir Elton John.
Elton John apprised Del Piero about his son Zachary's footballing ability backstage after his appearance on Aussie X Factor.
The former Juventus captain, who recently joined Sydney FC, handed Elton personalised shirts for himself and his young lad.
"My little boy is 22 months old and loves soccer. He's already kicking the ball around. He will love this," the Sun quoted Elton John, as saying.
Del Piero was just as honoured to meet former Watford chairman Elton, despite him referring to football as soccer.
"I am such a fan. How he is able to write his songs in just a couple of days - that is so special. My whole family have always loved his music," Del Piero said. (ANI)
