Sydney, Nov 15(ANI): Australia's fast bowling coach Ali de Winter has said controversial bowling rotation policy is still on their agenda for their future series, which would take place in the second half of the Test summer.
The pace trio of James Pattinson, Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus have emerged unscathed from the first Test, which was dominated by batsmen, and any changes to the XI for the second Test will be made on form rather than reasons regarding injury management.
"Given we've got quite a break between the first and second Test there's no real concern there. What we will do is monitor quite closely what we can through the Adelaide Test match then we'd be making any decision on how they come through that on the way to Perth," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted De Winter, as saying.
"At the moment we're confident our three bowlers that are in the side can play the first three Test matches given the lead in. All the bowlers got through the game physically very well. All three of them now will rest up until we meet back up in Adelaide so they won't be doing any bowling or playing any cricket," he added.
"What they will be doing is some strength and conditioning work and some rehab stuff between now and then," he said.
De Winter added: "It's not just the group of bowlers in the Test squad at the moment, we're monitoring up to 10 bowlers around the country in partnership with their states. We feel like we're across the whole bank of bowlers." (ANI)
