Manmohan Singh greets nation on Diwali

New Delhi, Nov. 12 (ANI): The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has wished the people of the country on the occasion of Diwali.

Dr. Singh in his greetings expressed the hope that the festival of lights this year will mark the beginning of a new phase of optimism for each one of his countrymen. He also wished peace and prosperity for the people.

Union Minister of Minority Affairs K. Rahman Khan, who also wished the citizens of the country on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, wished that the festival 'brings joy, health and wealth to all'.

"May the light that we celebrate at Diwali show us the way and lead us together on the path of peace and social harmony. The belief of Diwali prevail that that good will always triumph over evil for dark night must always make way for morning light and the spirit illuminate our Great Nation," he said in his message.
