Auto driver shot dead in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 10 (IANS) An autorickshaw driver was shot dead by two people over personal enmity in the capital, police said Saturday.

Gyan Singh (25), a resident of Delhi's Sangam Vihar area, was shot in the stomach at a shop near his house around 10.15 p.m. Friday. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead.

Victim's uncle, who was with the auto driver when he was shot, told police that Gyan knew the two assailants and he had an argument with them before the incident.

"Our probe revealed that there was a personal enmity between the victim and the accused. They had a heated argument before Gyan was shot," the official said.

"The accused, identified as Sunny (23) and Nata (26), fled from the spot after shooting the victim," a police official said. A hunt is on to nab the accused.
