New York, Nov. 10 (ANI): Katie Holmes may have paparazzi prying at her at all times but she insists that she is just a down-home girl at heart.
Despite her high profile marriage and divorce from Tom Cruise, the actress stays true to her roots.
"I still think of myself as Midwestern," the New York Post quoted her as telling the New York Times, while promoting her new Broadway play 'Dead Accounts.'
"I mean, I've had box wine...It's good. And it's a lot easier to open," she said.
The Toledo, Ohio, native, who's been repeatedly spotted taking the New York subway, added that she definitely identifies with her 'Dead Accounts' character Lorna.
"I'm like Lorna in that my values guide me in an instinctual way, like, 'That feels weird' or 'I better send a thank you'," she said. (ANI)
