Medical expertise should aid needy: UAE envoy

New Delhi, Nov 7 (IANS) United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador Mohamed Sultan Abdalla Al Owais Wednesday said that the medical expertise of India and the UAE should benefit the needy.

The ambassador was speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of Aster Eye Care Centre in south Delhi, a venture of DM Healthcare, headquartered in Dubai.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain Mohamed Ghassan Shaikho and Ambassador of Mongolia Sanjaasuren Bayaraa were also present.

Azad Moopen, DM Healthcare chairman, said: "Comprehensive eye care services, from routine vision testing to the latest advances in the treatment of eye diseases, will be undertaken here."

DM Healthcare has 10 specialty hospitals, 41 medical centres and 109 pharmacies across India and the Middle East.
