Farrukhabad (Uttar Pradesh), Nov.1 (ANI): Police in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, baton charged activists and supports of anti-graft-crusader Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday, as they gathered for a India Against Corruption (IAC) rally against the alleged corrupt activities of External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid.
Congress Party supporters raised black flags, shouted slogans and created a ruckus soon after the IAC activists began their protest against Khurshid.
In order to maintain peace, police baton charged the IAC and Congress activists.
Farrukhabad is the parliamentary constituency of Khurshid and Kejriwal is here to hold a rally and highlight alleged irregularities by the trust run by him and his wife.
Kejriwal has accused Khurshid and his wife Louise Khurshid of wrongly using and misappropriating funds that were provided by the Ministry of Social Welfare to their Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust for the welfare of the disabled. (ANI)
