Leading mobile maker Motorola has reportedly won a patent case against software giant Microsoft in Germany.
The decision came in favour of the Google-owned Motorola Mobility by the regional court in Mannheim saying Motolora did not infringe a Microsoft patent that enables applications to work on different handsets.
The verdict is among the latest case of patent lawsuits by technology giants fighting over market share, the Telegraph reports.
Earlier, Microsoft has won three patent cases against Motorola in Germany.
As a result of these rulings, smartphones with the disputed technology has gone outstayed from the German market.
The paper quoted David Howard, associate general counsel at Microsoft, as saying that the latest verdict 'does not impact multiple injunctions Microsoft has already been awarded and has enforced against Motorola products in Germany.'
