Just after sometime of the first semifinal and two days before 2nd one, Chris Gayle took to social networking side and tweeted,"So its Sri Lanka vs W.I in the final Sunday :)...Hard luck Pakistan!! Now I know who Pakistan will be supporting.! Blessed all... 1 Luv!!"
And yesterday when West Indies crushed Australia in T20 World Cup semi final, his tweet came true.
If West Indies wins this world cup it will mean that they will bring World Cup (irrespective of the format) to home after 33 long years.
They way West Indies has won, if they continue the same and if Gayle smashes again, it will be hard for Sri Lanka to win even if they are at their home.
Yesterday West Indies defeated Australia by 74 runs. Christopher Henry Gayle along with Kieron Pollard butchered the Aussie bowlers and made a massive score of 205 for 4.
Chris made 75 off only 41 balls hitting 6 sixes and 5 fours. Pollard supported him well hitting 3 back-to-back sixes and 3 fours making 38 in just 15 balls.
During the chase except for captain George Bailey, none could stand up to the mark. Australians wickets kept falling and were all out at the mere score of 131.
West Indies will now face Sri Lanka in the Final of T20 World Cup 2012 on Sunday.
