Injustice done to Bengal, says Trinamool

West Bengal,Politics, Sun, 28 Oct 2012 IANS

Kolkata, Oct 28 (IANS) After the latest reshuffle of the Manmohan Singh ministry, the Trinamool Congress Sunday alleged that injustice has been done with West Bengal as the state was deprived of any cabinet portfolio.

"Three new ministers from the state have been taken but from my experience I can say ministers of state do not have any power, so they cannot do anything for the state," said senior Trinamool leader and former minister Sougata Ray.

"I will say that the state has been deprived. Injustice has been done to the state," he added.

Congress leaders Deepa Dasmunshi, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and A.H. Khan Chowdhury from West Bengal were Sunday sworn in as new ministers of state in the UPA II ministry.
