Amritsar, Oct.21 (ANI): Sufi singers from India, Pakistan and other nations participated in a concert organised here to foster bonds of friendship, goodwill, mutual trust and harmony.
The city hosted a unique soiree of Sufi music and traditional folk. The audience was spellbound by the performances.
Afghan Sufi singer Ahmed Fateh Ali said Indians are a warm hearted people and thanked the organisers for giving him an opportunity to perform in India.
"People are warm here and I am very thankful to the organizers for inviting me here. I am very happy. I have come here for the first time and I feel really good," he said.
The Sufi artists exuded immense energy, as they performed and danced their way to the audience's heart.
Fans were treated to a night of Sufi music and traditional dances.
Another participant from Pakistan, Fakir Wahede Baksh said that Sufi music has the power to eliminate hatred and spread the message of love and brotherhood.
"I am very happy to be here. There are a lot of benefits of Sufi rock. All the teachings are true and right. They spread love and try to eliminate hatred from humanity," he said.
The audiences swayed to the songs and participated in the concert with full gusto. (ANI)
