Defence Minister A.K. Antony has said that country is capable to protect its cyber assets despite being the fact that it may be a latecomer in the field. He was speaking to the media persons during a function organized in New Delhi.
Commenting on the cyber security and its emerging threat, Antony said that even though we are a latecomer in putting a mechanism and network for strengthening our cyber security, now we are moving very fast.
He said that within the armed forces, they have a unified approach on the one side and each service is tasked to certain particular activities in area of cyber security.
Antony said that India is looking at bolstering its cyber security capabilities in a major way with a new initiative being planned to train around 500,000 cyber warriors in the next five years.
