London, October 15 (ANI): Liam Neeson's 'Taken 2', which has topped the box office last week, has defended its title with a narrow win over Ben Affleck's 'Argo'.
According to Sunday studio estimates, the 20th Century Fox's action sequel 'Taken 2' was at number one with 22.5 million dollars in its second weekend.
Affleck's 'Argo', which is an Iranian hostage thriller from Warner Bros., opened in second place with 20.1 million dollars.
Ethan Hawke's fright flick 'Sinister' debuted at number three with 18.3 million dollars, the New York Post reported.
Sony's 'Here Comes the Boom', which stars Kevin James as a teacher who becomes a mixed martial arts sensation, started weakly at number five with 12 million dollars.
The weekend's other new wide release, CBS Films' crime comedy 'Seven Psychopaths' also opened to small crowds, taking in 4.3 million dollars to finish at number nine.
