Delhi Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit today inaugurated two renovated Circle Offices of Food and Supply Department and a renovated Assistant Commissioner Office of the Department in the complex of Deputy Commissioner, Revenue at Nand Nagari, Delhi.
Dikshit while dedicating the offices to the people stated that around 40 other circle offices across Delhi would be commissioned within next two to three months with an estimated cost of Rs. 8 Cr. Delhi Food and Supply Minister, Haroon Yusuf, Local MLA, Veer Singh Dhingan and Commissioner, Food and Supply, Narender Kumar were present on this occasion.
The Circle offices No. 63, Seemapuri and No. 68 Gokulpur have become modern as well as swanky. The entire offices have been given the new looks apart from computerization.
Dikshit stated that such renovated offices are being commissioned in public interest. While referring to Bhagidari Atta scheme and Kerosene Free Dilli Scheme, Smt. Dikshit stated that the schemes have been implemented to lend a helping hand to the poor families. Around 34 thousand applications under Kerosene Free Dilli Scheme have been sanctioned and the families have been getting free gas connection, gas stove and filled LPG cylinder.
Speaking on this occasion, Yusuf stated that his department has taken up a scheme to renovate its all offices. Today, two more renovated offices have been commissioned taking total of such offices to four. He added that the decision was taken to provide better services to large number of people visiting Circle Office.
