Government is committed to ensure clean drinking water in schools

The Govt. of Delhi has decided to improve the condition of the schools by providing necessary facilities like drinking water, improvement of bathrooms and providing desks etc. The Minister of Education, Social Welfare, WCD and Languages, Prof. Kiran Walia has said that to ensure clean drinking water to the students and teachers, Delhi Govt. will install ROs in all the schools with the help of corporate houses.

Panasonic Company will install 200 ROs in 200 schools at the initial stage free of cost to ensure clean drinking water. She said that wherever desks are required, they will immediately be provided in the schools for facilitating the students.

To ensure continuous education to the students, the vacant posts of teachers will be filled. The Govt. of Delhi will appoint 10,000 Guest Teachers in all the schools to fill the vacant posts till they are filled on regular basis.

To improve the condition of bathrooms in all the schools, the authorities of Dte will do special efforts of Education to improve the condition of the bathrooms. She said that government has enhanced the allowances of Vidyalaya Kalyan Samiti to the tune of Rs.7.00 lakhs.
