Imphal, Oct.7 (ANI): Manipur Governor Gurbachan Jagat has again emphasized that militancy has become an "industry" in which many sections of the society earn "huge profits" at the expense of the people of the state.
He was speaking at a recent three-day seminar on governance for conflict resolution here.
"In the case of Manipur, or be it any other state, if the demand for sovereignty is made, the outfits should be clearly told that it is non negotiable and it can neither be discussed nor be granted," said Jagat.
Eminent speakers, dignitaries and researchers from all over the state participated in the seminar and expressed their views.
The main agenda of the seminar was to help the authorities in better governance so that militancy can be controlled. (ANI)
