Arthur pleased with Oz performance in T20 WC outing despite Pak drubbing

Colombo, Oct 4(ANI): Australia coach Mickey Arthur has said he is pleased with their performances in the ongoing Twenty20 World Cup so far, despite losing last match of the Super Eight stage to Pakistan by 32 runs following a batting collapse.

Pakistan's spinners exposed Australia's middle-order problems as skipper George Bailey's side scored a paltry 7-117 chasing 150 to win on Tuesday night.

However Australia still qualified on top of their group for the semi-finals and despite pondering a possible recall for middle-order batsman David Hussey in place of Glenn Maxwell, all is going smoothly in the camp, according to Arthur.

"Things are going very well. For us to have topped our group is very pleasing. We've won four out of five games. In the nature of Twenty20 cricket if you're winning four out of five you've got to be very happy,' the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Arthur, as saying.

"(Tuesday night) didn't go according to plan but hopefully we've got the bad game out of the way now. I guess it refocuses us so it probably came at the right time and now we've got it all to play for," he added.

Australia will have their final training hit-out on Thursday ahead of their semi-final clash with the West Indies on Friday. (ANI)
