Sydney, September 19 (ANI): Former Beatles singer John Lennon has been named rock's ultimate icon by British music magazine NME.
Lennon topped a survey of more than 160,000 readers, beating former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher into second place, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
David Bowie is third in the poll. The top five consisted of Arctic Monkeys star Alex Turner and late Nirvana icon Kurt Cobain.
The late Amy Winehouse also made the list at Number 6. (ANI)
