Nagpur, Sep 15 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari on Saturday condoled the demise of former Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief KS Sudarshan.
"He was a staunch nationalist who dedicated his entire life in the service of the nation and made remarkable contribution in promoting and expanding the RSS network. May his soul rest in peace," Gadkari told media here.
Sudarshan, 81, died in Raipur today following a cardiac arrest. Top BJP and RSS leaders would attend his funeral tomorrow.
Sudarshan was the RSS chief from 2000 to 2009. His tenure was marked by his conscious efforts to bring younger leadership in all sangh pariwar outfits, including the BJP. (ANI)
