New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) India have gone a place down to 169th position in the FIFA rankings despite winning the recently concluded Nehru Cup football tournament here.
However, India are 32nd in Asia.
India are behind neighbours Maldives (159) and Nepal (166) who also participated in the Nehru Cup.
Syria too went a place down to 148 while Cameroon are 61.
The matches against Cameroon at the Nehru Cup weren't considered for the FIFA rankings because the African nation had sent a 'B' team to India.
