London, Sep 4(ANI): British heavyweight boxer David Haye's desire to fight World Boxing Council (WBC) champion Vitali Klitshcko is close to fulfillment after peace talks with the WBC.
The organisation vowed to outlaw Haye after his Munich press-conference brawl with Dereck Chisora in February.
They promised further action after he beat Chisora when the Luxembourg Boxing Federation sanctioned the battle, and that appeared to rule out Haye from fighting Klitschko.
However, a WBC spokesman confirmed Haye was welcomed back.
"David Haye is welcome to return to the WBC," The Sun quoted WBC spokesman, as saying.
This latest development has moved Haye closer to a 10 million pound worth fight with Klitschko. (ANI)
