Bangalore, Sep 3 (IANS) A doctor has been arrested for alleged links to Pakistan-based terror outfits LeT and HuJI, taking the number detained mainly in Karnataka in the last five days to 14, police said Monday.

A laptop, a mobile phone and Rs.10,000 were seized from Siddique.

Siddiqui, in his late 20s, was arrested on the suspicion of recruiting people to carry out terror attacks and providing logistical and financial support to those arrested.

Police claimed the lot was hatching a conspiracy to kill leading politicians, some journalists and Hindu leaders in Bangalore and elsewhere in the state.

Of the 14 arrested, eight were held in Bangalore, five in the northern town of Hubli and one in Hyderabad.

The first arrests - six from Bangalore and five from Hubli, about 450 km from here - took place last week. All 14 are in police custody.
