PCB likely to postpone Zimbabwe series to accommodate proposed tour to India

Islamabad, Mon, 03 Sep 2012 ANI

Islamabad, Sep 3(ANI): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to postpone the national team's tour to Zimbabwe in favour of their proposed tour of India.

"We have requested Zimbabwe to reschedule the series because of the India-Pakistan series," Dawn.com quoted a PCB spokesman, as saying to a cricket website.

"They agreed to work out another plan to host us so there is no way the series will be canceled. Instead the PCB and Zimbabwe Cricket are in discussions make it happen next year," the spokesman added.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited Pakistan for a series in December-January when England, who are due to tour India later this year, return home briefly for Christmas and New Year.

Pakistan is scheduled to visit Zimbabwe during the same period to play two Test matches, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20s. (ANI)
