Three die in Delhi building collapse

New Delhi, Aug 30 (IANS) At least three people were killed and five injured after a commercial building under construction collapsed here Thursday, police said.

The tragedy took place in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar area. One of the dead was identified as Umar Mohammed, 35, of Lakhimpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Two more floors were being added at the three-story building, leading to its collapse, police said.

A case has been registered against the owner of the building, Ashok Jain, 55. He will be arrested after the probe, said a police officer.
