Three killed in Allahabad house collapse

Allahabad, Aug 27 (IANS) Three people, including a woman, were killed early Monday when the roof of their house caved in, police said.

The mishap occurred at Gobra Himar village, in Shankargarh, following heavy rains that have been lashing the state during the past few days.

The bodies have been sent for autopsy after they were recovered from the debris in an hour-long operation, said a district official.

Many parts of the state have been witnessing incessant rains since the past 48 hours.
