Melbourne, August 27 (ANI): Megan Gale has confirmed rumours that she has been cast in Mad Max: Fury Road.
The 37-year-old says she is thrilled to land a part in the post-apocalyptic film, which also features Aussie model Abbey Lee Kershaw.
Gale has had a long relationship with the film's director George Miller, who cast her as Wonder Woman in comic book film Justice League before the production was shelved in 2008.
Sources on set told News.com.au that she will head to South Africa early next month to begin work on the film, which stars Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy.
"It will be fantastic also to finally get the opportunity to work with George," Gale told the publication.
"He has been so enthusiastic about working together since he cast me in Justice League and has not only urged me to keep pursuing acting but has been one of the people that has believed in my abilities from the beginning and encouraged me to believe in myself and what I can do," she added. (ANI)
