London, August 25 (ANI): Kate Upton showed that she was not afraid to get her hands dirty, as she participated in a voluntary litter pick in New York City.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, who is known for her lingerie shoots, was a surprise guest at the charitable event, which was organised by Stoked Mentoring and skateboard brand Zoo York.
Upton worked alongside professional skateboarder Chaz Ortizhel and thirty other youngsters to clean the park.
She was casually dressed in salmon pink jeans and a black three-quarter length sleeved shirt, with a simple necklace and a glossy blow-dry completing her laid back look.
Upton was also aware that her sandals were perhaps not the most suitable footwear for the occasion.
"Hey, at least I'm not wearing heels!" the Daily Mail quoted her as telling ESPN.
"I love being able to work with kids who have disadvantages and work together and make this a better community," she said, when asked why it was important for her to take part in a park clean up.
As a reward for all her hard work, Upton was treated to a skateboard lesson by 18-year old Ortiz.
The professional skateboarder showed her his best ollie, and even gave her a Zoo York board to keep.
"I can't skateboard at all. I'm afraid of even stepping my foot on one. Maybe Chaz can give me a few pointers," she added. (ANI)
