Bokaro (Jharkhand), Aug 25 (ANI): In a joint operation with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Jharkhand Police recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions from a Maoist hideout here, and detained three rebels.
Superintendent of Police, Bokaro, Kuldeep Dwivedi, told mediapersons that the operation, conducted on Thursday, resulted in the arrest of three Maoists, Mahendar Mahato, Jailal Mahato and Vinod Mahato.
They were involved in criminal activities in the past as well.
Three cane bombs, six claymore mines, bombs and explosives used for making cane bombs and some Maoist propaganda literature among others was recovered from the Maoist hideout.
"The raid was carried out under a strategy. Three people were detained and based on the information provided by them three cane bombs, six claymore mines, one pipe bombs and explosives used for making cane bombs, tents and many objectionable items were recovered. The rebels use these ammunitions to target security personnel," Dwivedi said." (ANI)
