Melbourne, Aug 23 (ANI): A Durex ad, which shows a man straddling a naked woman from behind while giving her a massage, has been given the green signal by the advertising standards authority for Australian television, who say that it is unlikely to be offensive.
The Durex lube advert had been the subject of several compaints to the Advertising Standards Bureau, all of which have been dismissed.
The ASB ruled that the advert treated sex "with sensitivity to the relevant audience," and that the content was only mildly sexually suggestive.
Concerns were raised about the advert's influence on teenagers, as it was being displayed during the adult comedy 'Family Guy.'
Durex advertisements are a regular target for advertising standards complaints.
The most recent being their "feel more" condom campaign, also given a clean bill of health by the ASB earlier this year.
The "feel more" campaign attracted controversy because it showed the facial expressions of women who were experiencing sexual pleasure.
The regulatory body ruled the ad had not been overly graphic and contained no offensive material. (ANI)
