London, Aug 19 (ANI): Women in Britain are taking up beach volleyball after Team GB's bikini-clad beauties became a hit at the Olympics.
Demand for coaching at one of the UK's top venues has soared by 60 percent, the Sun reported.
And many of the wannabes are women wanting to emulate top Brit players Zara Dampney and Shauna Mullin.
The official London 2012 training base was in Brighton, where there are six courts run by Yellowave Beach Sports.
They have taken on two extra coaches and created more sessions to cope with demand.
"On an average weekend we are now coaching between 150 and 200 people," spokeswoman Elly Trimingham said.
"Families say their kids want to get involved. It shows the Olympics are inspiring young people," she added. (ANI)
