London, August 18 (ANI): British cyclist Laura Trott has revealed that she and her boyfriend Jason Kenny imposed a sex ban on themselves during the Olympics to focus on their sports, but made up for it after their wins.
The loved-up pair, who won two golds each, were revealed as a couple when they were photographed kissing next to David Beckham and Prince Harry.
The show of affection came after their respective events had finished and they were busy making up for lost time - in and out of bed.
"We were in a holding camp in Wales for two weeks before the Games and we decided we couldn't act like a couple. The Olympics is such a massive event, neither of us wanted to throw it away," the Sun quoted her as saying.
"We behaved as just team-mates during training. We would sit together at the dinner table with everyone else, but apart from one romantic dinner, the rest of the time I acted like he was away.
"We spoke on the phone every night, sometimes for an hour at a time. My training sessions were going really badly so I found it relaxing to have him on the end of the phone reassuring me," she said.
She said that they both wanted to be left alone in the Olympic Village.
Although she texted him a few times, she always made sure she saw him to say "Good luck" before his races and he did the same with her.
"We wouldn't have spent the night together before we raced. Anyway, they were single beds! Screw that, I have enough trouble sleeping in a double bed on my own.
"It was great that after we finished racing I started staying in his room," she said. (ANI)
