Wagah Border (Amritsar), Aug.15 (ANI): The official launch of the teaser of Bollywood film Kya Dilli Kya Lahore, which talks about the bond between an Indian and a Pakistani soldier stationed at the border, was unveiled at the Wagah border on Tuesday night.
The film is produced by Karan Arora and stars Raj Zutshi and Vijay Raaz.
Producer Karan Arora said it's a satire, a light-hearted story of two soldiers, who realise that they have many things common and the reason for their rivalry is not worth enough to fight.
"'Kya Dilli Kya Lahore' is an attempt to balm the bloodline formed between the two nations and to heal the wounds. It is to make them realise that the biggest thing is humanity. Many people are trying in different ways to spread this message and we have also tried through this film to spread the message of peace and brotherhood," said Arora.
The film is set in a few months after the partition in 1948 and was earlier titled as 'Padosi' (neighbours).
Indian singer Sukhwinder Singh and Pakistani classical singer Shafqat Amanat Ali performed during the launch of the first look.
Actor Raj Zutshi said the film is a completely different take on the India-Pakistan relationship.
"This film is a message of love and it attempts to end the border and differences between the two countries and to convert the passion and enthusiasm among the people into love. This will make life easy and comfortable," said Zutshi.
The film is shot in Fiji and on outskirts of Mumbai and is slated to release in October 2012. (ANI)
