New Delhi, Aug.14 (ANI): Union Minister of Power Veerappa Moily on Tuesday condoled the passing away of former Maahrashtra chief minister and Union Cabinet Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.
Sixty-seven-year-old Deshmukh passed away at a Chennai hospital on Tuesday afternoon from multiple organ failure.
In his statement, Moily said, "I am deeply saddened by the untimely passing away of a dear friend and colleague. He was an astute politician and an efficient administrator. His contribution in the development and growth of Maharashtra and also of the nation will always be remembered. His passing away is a great loss to the country."
In his message, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad said, " I am shocked to hear about the untimely demise of Sh. Vilasrao Deshmukh, a very promising and articulate leader who was loved by one and all. In his death, we lost a highly motivated human being who was always willing to help others in their need. It will be difficult to fill the void left by him.
I pray God almighty to give you all courage to bear the irreparable loss. May the departed soul rest in peace." (ANI)
