Baba Ramdev to end fast with 'big announcement'

New Delhi, Aug 12 (ANI): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who is all set to end his 'symbolic' three-day fast on Sunday, will make a 'big announcement' on the next course of his agitation on black money and Lokpal Bill.

The yoga guru, who is all prepared to take his ongoing agitation in a new direction, is expected to make the announcement in the presence of former Army Chief General V. K. Singh, who will be joining him in the protest today.

It may be recalled here that General (retired) Singh also spoke at Team Anna's indefinite fast before it ended.

Baba Ramdev had earlier on Saturday said that he had decided on his plans for the next phase of his agitation, but did not specify whether his fast would be extended.

"Tomorrow, there will be an announcement on the big revolution to be staged in the country. We are waiting (for the government response) till this evening. Many things will happen tomorrow, not only in the Ram Lila Maidan here, but across the country," he told his supporters at the Ramlila Maidan.

He said the agitation will move in a "new direction" on Sunday with the youth joining his movement.

Baba Ramdev's announcement came after long meetings with his close aides during the day at the protest venue.

The second round of Ramdev's protest has witnessed an expansion of his agenda from black money to Lokpal Bill, making CBI independent and a more transparent procedure for appointing Election Commissioners, CAG, CVC and Director CBI. aba Ramdev's last outing at the Ramlila Maidan, in June last year, saw a midnight police crackdown with authorities claiming that he violated norms agreed upon.e was caught by police, while trying to flee from the protesting venue in a woman's attire.
