My 15k pounds bike lacks a personal touch, says Victoria Pendleton

London, Aug 9 (ANI): Victoria Pendleton has said that her medal-winning wheels lack a personal touch.

Speaking ahead of the Games, Pendleton, 31, said that her dad Max, a former British national grass-track cycling champion, used to make sure she stood out in her early competitions.

"My dad put a little name badge on my bike, a little sticker," the Daily Star quoted her as telling Day and Night.

"I just looked down and it was there. I said 'Oh dad, you're drawing attention to me!' He used to paint our names on in old English because that was the style when he used to race.

"You can get transfers these days but they are not allowed to on our Olympic bikes - no names, no tape. It ruins the aero-dynamics," she said. (ANI)
