Mary Kom loses in semi-final, gets bronze

London, Aug 8 (ANI): Indian woman boxer MC Mary Kom lost a closely fought bout against Great Britain's Nicola Adams in the Olympic Games today.

The Manipuri boxer's lost the four-round bout 6 points to 11. The score in each round, 1-3, 1-2, 2-3, 2-3.

The 29-year-old Indian mother of twins, who put up a gritty fight in every round, will now return home with bronze.

Mary Kom earlier beat Karolina Michalczuk of Poland in the pre-quarter final with a 19-14 verdict and then prevailed over Maroua Rahali of Tunisia 16-5 in the quarterfinals. (ANI)
