Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug 4 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Police seized a huge cache of arms from a militant hideout in the forest area here recently.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Shamshir Hussain informed reporters that the search operation was carried out based on information given by suspected militant Shabir Ahmed, who was arrested a few days back in Poonch.
"One AK 47, 12 magazines, 160 round of ammunitions, one Pakistan SIM and four letter pad of LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba) have been recovered," Hussain informed.
The jungles in the hilly terrain of this area are known to be a hub of militancy.
Hussain said they have no reports of fresh infiltration in the area.
"We have no inputs on new infiltration," he said. (ANI)
